The Tractor Accessories And Add-Ons You Need
Your tractors are the foundation of your farming operation, helping you do everything from prepping the field to harvesting it. You rely on the add-ons and accessories for your tractors almost as much as the machines themselves to make your equipment more efficient, more flexible, or even just more comfortable to use. Whatever the accessory, they all have one main goal: make your workday better.
We here at Bobcat PNW know how buddy you are, so we’ve put together a few of our favorite add-ons and accessories to help you with your search. If you want to know more or you’re ready to buy, stop by any of our 6 Washington State locations!
Brush Guards
Your tractor gets messy, rolling through mud and crops and who knows what else. With brush guards, that mess won’t become a mechanical issue. This accessory helps to prevent dents, scratches, and other damage to your valuable equipment by protecting the front grill and the lights as you go about your business. Over time, this damage can build up into one nasty service bill—or you can skip it with a brush guard!
Toolbox
This may seem like common sense, but bringing your tools with you is a good way to avoid minor hiccups and smooth out your workflow. While some tractors come equipped with a built-in toolbox, others may need an add-on version. The increased storage space doubles as a way of keeping your tools organized so you know exactly where everything is at all times. This simple and seemingly-obvious accessory can make a big difference in your workday.
Quick Hitch
Your tractor’s implements and attachments can be a pain to swap out, but with a quick hitch it’s simple. This easy time-saving accessory can have an impressive effect on your productivity. There are a range of options available, including a 3-point hitch or a telescoping boom pole.
Tooth Bar
Even your tractors implements can get an upgrade! Tooth bars are attached to a loader bucket, helping to increase the digging performance and capacity. These are easy to install, but do make sure that your tooth bar is actually compatible with your loader’s make and model. Not all accessories fit all attachments.
Auxiliary Work Lights
Sun up to sun down isn’t the only time you can get things done! If you’re hoping to get in a bit more work before you hit the hay, you’ll need some extra light to work safely. Auxiliary lights are the answer! Your tractor’s lights only go so far and can’t illuminate your entire work site in the way you need, so attach some LED lights to brighten up the area until you’re ready to call it quits.
Climate Controlled Cab
This is one of the easiest ways to make your work day more comfortable. A climate controlled cab can cool you down or warm you up, no matter what the external temperature is at. Whether you’ve got things to do in the freezing cold on a winter morning, or in the middle of a sweltering summer afternoon, your climate controlled cab will have you covered.
Unpleasant weather won’t be able to touch you in the comfortable temperature inside your cab, keeping you at your best the whole day through. If you don’t already own a tractor or you’re looking for a new one, many models come with a climate control system installed. Otherwise, there are conversion kits for tractors that need the upgrade.
